The moment you add a second agent, the pricing model matters more than the feature list. Some platforms charge per seat, some charge a flat rate, and the difference at ten agents is thousands of dollars a year for broadly the same job.
What each platform costs as you grow
At 3 agents:
- Wise Agent: $49/mo total (flat, up to 5)
- IXACT Contact: about $104/mo ($46.75 leader plus two members at $28.90)
- Follow Up Boss: $207/mo at $69 each
- Sierra Interactive: $399.95/mo (Essential, 3 users, annual)
- Top Producer: $399/mo (Teams 5 bundle is cheaper than 3 seats at $179)
At 10 agents:
- Wise Agent: $149/mo ($49 plus $20 per extra batch of five)
- IXACT Contact: about $307/mo
- Sierra Interactive: $599.95 plus $20 per user above five, so around $700/mo
- Top Producer: $699/mo flat (Teams 10)
- Follow Up Boss: $499/mo on Pro, which includes 10 users, far cheaper than $69 each
Notice what happens to Follow Up Boss: at three agents it is $207, at ten it is $499 rather than $690, because the Pro tier resets the maths. Top Producer does the same thing more aggressively. If you are between tiers, always check the bundle.
What actually changes with a team
Three features go from irrelevant to load-bearing:
- Lead routing. Who gets the enquiry, and what happens if they do not respond.
- Accountability reporting. Seeing response times per agent, not just in aggregate.
- Shared inboxes and handoffs. So a lead does not die when someone is on holiday.
Follow Up Boss is the strongest of these by some distance, and it is what the Pro tier exists for: team inboxes, call reporting and coaching tools. If speed-to-lead is what you are managing, that is the tool built for the job.
The recommendation, by situation
Small team, tight budget, own lead source: Wise Agent. At $49 flat for five people it is not close on cost, and transaction management is included.
Team buying leads and losing them: Follow Up Boss, Grow tier while small, Pro once you pass roughly eight seats. Remember calling is a $39/user add-on on Grow.
Team that needs a website generating its own enquiries: Sierra Interactive, on the understanding that it is a 12-month agreement and the entry price is the highest here.
Team wanting one flat bill with transaction management: Top Producer’s bundles are cheap per seat, but weigh that against its 3.1 G2 score and the recurring complaints about cancelling.
Two things to check before signing
First, the setup fee, which rarely appears in the comparison you were shown. Real Geeks charges $500. Sierra charges $500 if you pay monthly and nothing if you pay annually. BoldTrail charges one but will not say how much.
Second, what happens when someone leaves. On per-seat plans you usually keep paying until the renewal date. On flat plans it does not matter. That question alone can be worth a tier change.
