Chime Is Now Lofty: The Rename, the Firepoint Shutdown, and What It Means

Chime Technologies is now Lofty. The rename happened in November 2023, and a lot of content still ranking for “Chime CRM pricing” predates it.

The timeline

  • November 2023 — Chime Technologies rebrands as Lofty, Inc. Same platform, new name.
  • August 2024 — Lofty acquires Firepoint and does not keep it running. Firepoint agents were transitioned onto Lofty, and Firepoint ceased to exist as a product.

So two searchable product names now point to one platform. If you are researching either, you are researching Lofty.

What Lofty actually is

An all-in-one built for teams and brokerages: SEO-oriented IDX website, CRM with Smart Plans workflows, transaction management, an AI assistant, and a mobile app. It lists over 200 integrations, among the widest in the category.

The part that distinguishes it from a pure CRM is that Lofty will also sell you the leads. Google PPC, Google Local Services Ads, Facebook and Instagram ads and direct mail are all paid lead-generation programmes you can buy alongside the platform. That makes it a different kind of purchase from something like Follow Up Boss or Wise Agent, which sell you software and nothing else.

What it costs

Unknown, publicly. Lofty publishes four tier names — Agent, Team, Broker, Enterprise — each with a “request pricing” button and no numbers. The vendor states cost varies with your package, seat count, optional upgrades and lead-generation programmes. There is no free trial, only a demo.

The setup fee and contract length are not published either. We write “contact sales” rather than repeating figures from listicles, because none of those figures trace back to Lofty.

The complaint pattern worth knowing

Lofty holds 4.3 out of 5 on G2 from 406 reviews and 3.9 on Capterra from 127. That is a solid but not stellar score for a platform of its size, and the criticism clusters in two specific places.

The first is support quality rather than support speed. Reviewers describe front-line staff who do not know the product well and give incorrect guidance, which is a different problem from slow tickets.

The second is more actionable before you buy: the gap between what the demo implies is included and what turns out to be a paid add-on. The dialer is an upgrade. Text messaging comes with metered packages you top up. Lead generation is a separate spend. If you are evaluating Lofty, get the full monthly figure in writing with every add-on you actually intend to use, not the base platform number.

Who it suits

Teams and brokerages that want one vendor for the website, the CRM and the advertising, and that have the budget to buy leads. Its breadth is real and its integration list is genuinely deep.

It suits a budget-conscious solo agent poorly, mostly because of the pricing structure: opaque, add-on heavy, and with no trial to test it before committing.

If the appeal is the all-in-one model, compare it with BoldTrail, its closest equivalent. If what you actually need is follow-up rather than lead generation, Follow Up Boss costs a fraction and publishes its prices.
